Scary Zerg Creatures from Starcraft by d' Qiu Brick


LEGO fan and flickr.com user d' Qiu Brick a.k.a. dennis qiu who was recently blogged here with his Transforming Sci-Fi Fighter Plane: Terror R-17 built amazing alien creatures called Zerg from famous PC game Star Craft. The details of the alien monsters are incredible and resembles the models from the game very much. I especially like the Zergling. It's face looks really scary with all those teeth and red eyes. Zerg devourer in the photo below has also a nice and accurate shape and the vibrant color choice for the wings and the body fits the MOC very well. The terrain underneath the creatures were also built beautifully matching the details from the game including crystals and skeletons.

LEGO Fan and talented Sci-fi MOC builder I Scream Clone shared this large and amazing Sci-fi creation in his flickr.com photo-stream. The diorama includes huge amount of details with interesting colors and tons of alien figures. Monorail around the buildings is a nice touch to the scene too. According to the description this MOC is built for the Sydney Brick Show 2016.
 
I especially liked the bilboards made of bricks.

District 9 Dropship by Josiah N.


LEGO Fan and flickr.com member Josiah N. shared this impressive sci-fi dropship from the movie District 9. According to the description this MOC is based on a Greg Broadmore's concept art for the movie. With the shaping of the hull and the color-scheme, the MOC resembles the concept art very much. There are many small details that adds a lot to the quality of the MOC. Check out the photo album for more photos of this ship.

Pumpkonians


Eurobricks.com and Flickr member I Scream Clone has shared his MOC depicting an alien race the Pumpkonians who are living in the deserts of the Planet Agreon. The building style of the MOC reminds me the planet Tatooine from Star Wars. Here is the creators description about the Pumpkonians:

"Pumpkonians have learned how best to exploit the natural resources while turning a space buck or two. Commandeering bits and pieces from downed star ships and bartering with otherworldly conglomerates keen to mine the rich Ioth gas deposits for their jump gate technologies, the Pumpkonians have all they need for a simplistic life style."

 I always like the idea of creating custom alien races and I Scream Clone hes done it very well. I like the simple but effective designs of many little equipment all around the MOC. Building gas tanks out of Death Star half-spheres is also a very good idea. Different types of desert animals like camel, scorpion and ostriches are nice additions to the creation. The band conveyor is one of the best details in this MOC for sure.
