This realistic minifigure-scale fire truck MOC was recently shared by flickr.com user sponki25 in his photo-stream. According to the description this MOC is named after FDNY Engine 54 and dedicated to the fallen on 9/11/01. The detailing on the vehicle is very impressive as well as decals around the MOC that are accurate to the real vehicle.  The builder also shared other iconic vehicles of New York City before, so don't forget to check out his photo-stream.

This incredibly realistic and outstanding model is built by model masterbuilder and flickr.com member Andrea Lattanzio a.k.a. Norton74 who is known for his amazing creations like the Dream Garage (also featured in Brick Journal) and many more. The vehicle is full of small details and features but my favourite sction is the engine with small custom red hose detail and realistic shaping. Custom chromed bricks gives this great MOC additional coolness too.

The builder also shared this photo of the original car to let us know how realistic and good looking the LEGO version is. Maybe the only visible major difference are the tires and wheels.

The Ironbuilder challenge between Tim Schwalfenbeg and Jonas continue at full speed. The creativity in this challange is really impressive therefore we continue to post MOC's from it time to time. As his turn Tim built this amazing classic fire truck as his seventeenth build where he used the metallic pin element in various place like the latter, bumpers and lights. I especially like how the front windscreen is placed using the base parts of lever element.
