Beautiful 18th Century Building, Port Woodhouse

Talented MOC'er and flickr.com user Ayrlego who is known for great historical cretions recently shared this beautiful building MOC namely "Campaign Planning, Port Woodhouse" in his photostream. The building itself has the same base structure from a previous MOC of the builder, "South West Frontier". The architectural style of the building fits greatly to both ocasions and it proves that the small details like vegetation and the style of roof changes the mood of the creation completely. In this MOC I especially like the inclusion of bright green vegetation together with dark pink flowers which reminds me of houses in aegean/mediterranian climate areas like Italy, Greece or Turkey.

LEGO fans and flickr.com users Eli Willsea a.k.a. ForlornEmpire and Grant Davis a.k.a. Takkata1 built this beautiful diorama of a tropical island for for Brickcon 2016. The diorama is full with great details and also functions. I really liked the rotating floor stones. Be sure to watch the the timelaps and function video of the MOC in youtube shared by the creators.

Jack Sparrow is on his way again

Our one of the favorite MOC'er and flickr.com member W. Navarre who is also designed The Flying Dutchman before, created another best known ship from Pirates of the Caribbean series. Navarre created a scary model of The Black Pearl with wide plate-build sails.

Contra Oleon by Garmadon

LEGO Fan and flickr.com member Robert4168/Garmadon and his friend Kai shared his latest collaborative MOC that includes two different forts with lots of war scenes. Forts are perfectly located to control passes through the rocky path. Greeneries and rocky landscapes add high detail to this collaborative Contral Oleon.

Miniature of Black Seas Barracuda

One of the most popular theme is Pirates in late 80's and 90's. Black Seas Barracuda is a little bit younger than me but it was legendary set in his time. Flickr.com member Bangoo H has recently created miniature version of this amazing ship and shared instructions too. Every Pirates fan must have this awesome miniature!

Some MOC's make your day colorful

My day becomes colorful when I see Pirates-based MOC. Today is colorful too because flickr.com member and LEGO Fan Nikola Đurić has recently created a MOC for Eurobricks' RPG Game, Baron Nicolas at the Port. It is a tiny city with a small wooden trade port, a lighthouse and bunch of local shops including barber. Two storey buildings sorrounding shore-road. I mostly liked the barber shop with tiny windows.

Get drowned in the details

LEGO Fan and flickr.com member Letranger Absurde pit his signature below a brillant MOC, Stumpy McHook. It is sorrounded with perfect details and usage of parts like use a hairpiece to build Captain's beard and croissant for moustache. Also liked the pocket and belt buckle. I liked every single stud of this awesome MOC.

Port Royal by W. Navarre

LEGO Fan and flickr.com member W. Navarre has recently shared his latest Pirates Theme creation Port Royal on his own photostream. He build a Imperial Fortress which was inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean's Port Royal. MOC contains an inn, a blacksmith shop, a prison, and a courtyard. I mostly liked interior design od yhe creation which can be seen in author's photostream.

Return of the King

Alex Jones who is also designed awesome Transformers MOCs, shared his latest creation on flickr. The Kings Arrival, which is established on a very big baseplate includes a double-storey castle and a two-mast Imperial ship in it. Building technique of the castle is impressive but I could'nt decide that it is Medieval castle or an Imperial Fort. Whatever may come, it is full of details and MOC of the day for me.

Not So Classic Pirates

brickbink built this lovely pirate era scene. Diorama demonstrates a blue coat outpost. Besides mixing latest pirate line's, Indiana Jones' and Pirates of Caribbean's torsos he also changed classic yellow into flesh and captured a glimpse of realism. For the issue of realism most outstanding item is how he built the water section. Looking like a straightforward assembly of 1 x 2 trans light blue tiles but instead it is a random structure thanks to some illegal placing of these tiles of cuteness. But in a pirate creation of course my favourites are parrots especially the one on the floating wood. Congrats brickbink! Brick on mate!

Pure Approach to Queen Anne's Revenge

LEGO Fan and Flickr.com member W. Navarre has recently created a model of Queen Anne's Revenge for Tourney 2016 contest. He used no ropes, sails, deck parts and mast pieces. As he said we can call it pure ship model build with LEGO. I mostly liked stairs to the mai deck and building technique of ship base.

News: Exclusive Buccaneer Batman Minifigure

We already knew that the new LEGO DC Comics Character Encyclopedia will include a exclusive batman minifigure which is rumored to be a pirate batman like the Buccaneer Batman revealed in Justice League: Cosmic Clash Movie. Today various sources from internet like brickheroes.com and thebrickfan.com announce that the new batman figure will be almost identical to the one that was rumored. Actually the original pirate style batman is called Captain Leatherwing in the DC Comics universe. According to the description in Publishers's web page the book will be a comprehensive visual guide to the full range of LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes minifigures, including Batman, Superman, and their friends and foes. You can now pre-order the book on Amazon and it will be released on April 5.

Giant Skull built on the rocks

http://www.classic-castle.com/events/contests.html

LEGO Fan and Flickr.com member W. Navarre shared this great MOC is his account. This is actually a Fortress built for this years CCC contest. The shaping and natural look of the rock-skull makes this creation unique. The other side of the creation (the interior of the fortress) is also full with many nice details like siege equipment and a cage with skeleton in it.

Pirate Jigbots

Flicker member and LEGO Fan Simon Liu a.k.a. Sci-MOCs has shared these unusual but fascinating jigbot models in his account. The usage of the planet pieces from the Star Wars Line is always an interesting building method. Although, It is a mystery (at least for me) how those eyes (tire parts) were attached to the spheres. Brick-built red parrot, brick-built tomahawk hair style and plume built out of red plant pieces are small details I really like.
