As a fan of the LEGO Brickheadz line I really appreciate high quality custom Brickheadz MOC's. Flickr user and LEGO fan Michael Jasper shared this awesome Lady Liberty MOC in his photostream. The attention to the detail is really great and I especially like the perfectly usage of two different grill pieces. Addition of the 2x1 printed tile piece that comes with the Lady Liberty minifigure from the Collectible minifigure series 6 is also a good touch.

This great statue of iconic comic book and cartoon character Obelix from The Adventures of Asterix was created by flicker user George Panteleon a.k.a. ZetoVince. Quarter dome pieces are mainly used for shaping of the face and the wedge-slope pieces are used the built the hair and the mustache. The shaping is really impressive and very accurate to the character depicted in comics.

I like always liked brick-built sculpture-like MOC's. Flickr.com user and LEGO fan timofey_tkachev recently shared this beautiful MOC called "Fountain of Blood" in his photo-stream. It's always hard to replica organic shapes with LEGO pieces but the creator managed to do an impressive job on the shaping of the girl figure. I especially liked the hair section which was built with different types of tentacle and horn/tooth pieces. 

This amazing and movie accurate bust MOC of Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi (1983) movie was recently shared by talented LEGO builder and our latest guest of honor Eero Okkonen a.k.a. Pate-keetongu who is best known for his big-scale character creations. The detailing on face is very impressive on this one. The mouth and jowl are built incredibly but my favourite section is the eyes. Talented MOC builder and flickr.com user LEGO 7 built and recently shared this impressive big figure MOC, Orgrim Doomhammer which is a World of Warcarft character. The shaping and the accessories of the figure are all done amazingly well. I especially liked how the hands and the face is modeled. The realistic and organic look of the body is achieved by using lots curved slope pieces all around the body. The base was also built nicely with the stone statues etc.

LEGO fan and flickr.com user Antonio Cerretti a.k.a. Praetorian- shared this huge and amazing ancient Roman themed MOC in his photo stream last week. There are tons of beautiful details to point out. I really like the colored stripes on the walls and the golden details on the head of the columns. The brickwork on the floor inside the temple is impressive as well. Statues with different poses are also nice and accurate addition. There is also a small army inside the building complex as well. This is absolutely one of the greatest historical building MOC's of the year.

LEGO fan and flickr.com user Mihai Marius Mihu recently shared this beautiful Roman temple MOC in his photo-stream. I especially like the white minifigure statues which looks like they are made out of marble stone. Dark red back-grounds behind the statues are also a nice touch and makes the statues even more interesting. I also liked the golden details on the roof sections as well. 

This weeks guest of honor is a builder from Canada with his own unique and special building style. Jason Allemann a.k.a. Kaplan: We already know that you are one of the greatest MOC'ers in the world. What can you tell us about yourself other than that?

Jason: My name is Jason Allemann, I'm 43 years old, and I live in Ottawa, Canada. I'm a software developer, currently self employed, and my other main interest is rock climbing. My partner Kristal and I usually spend most of the summer traveling to various rock climbing destinations around North America, camping along the way.

K: Do you remember your first day when you get your first LEGO set?J: Haha, that happened way too long ago for me to remember!

LEGO certified professional and flickr.com user Ryan a.k.a TheBrickMan shared this brick-built statue of "Venus de Medici" in his photostream. The shaping of the creation is amazing as always. The Venus de Medici model is displayed at the Nicholson Museum in Sydney University as part of their Alpha & Omega exhibition. According to the description by Ryan this huge creation consists of appr. 18000 bricks and took 78 hour to build

These brick-built life-size statues of birds of prey were built and shared by flikr.com user Joe Perez a.k.a MortalSwordsman whose creations we blogged before like the sprinting black panther. The modeling on these birds are inreadibly realistic and the head sculpturing is amazing. According to the description these statues were built for Bright Bricks

Golden eagle is bigger than the pelegrine falcon as it should be according to the real sizes of the birds. The creator used many shades of brown and managed to make it look perfectly natural.

This outstanding mech was shared by flickr.com user and talented builder LEGO 7. This mech is not like a common two-legged robot. This one is a centaur and a knight at the same time! The orange-light bluish gray color-scheme fits the MOC very well since the orange is mostly liked by sci-fi builders. The model very posable and the shaping of the legs are really impressive. This is an outstanding mech build for sure. The builder also shared this amazing alien-riding predator model which you may want to check them out too.
