Poodle MOC by ZiO Chao

Large sized animal builds are not a very common type of MOC. Flickr user and LEGO MOC'er ZiO Chao shared these great Poodle model pieces in his photostream. The shaping of the dogs using round plates of various sizes are incredible as well as the color choise for the dog on the right. I especially like the modelling of the facial expression of the models. The pink tile piece tongues makes the models even more realistic and cute.

News: Photo for LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 17 revealed at Toy Fair

LEGO has recently revealed the box of the upcoming Collectible Minifigures Series 17 in the their preview event in New York Toy Fair. This high-quality photo and names was shared by the Brick-Show. According to them possible names of the mini-figures are:

Top row from left to right: Surfer Boy, Gourmet Chef, Hot Dog Vendor, Elf Maiden, Circus Strongman, Yuppie, Veterinerian, and (possibly) Highwayman. Bottom row from left to right: Connoisseur, Butterfly Girl, Roman Gladiator, Corn Cob Guy, Retro Space Hero, Dance Instructor, Battle Dwarf and Rocket boy.

The Brick Fan has released a feel guide for finding the figures you want in blind bags. In my opinion this series contains very nice figures and also below average figures at the same time. There are many new accessories, recolored pieces and animals that will make the LEGO fans very happy. The rocket boy and the corn cob guy will be possibly the most favorites among the fans because of their body-wear accessories. French bulldog that will come out together with Connoisseur will be nice addition to LEGO's dog species list.

Stark Family Reunited

LEGO Fan and flickr.com user Callum a.k.a. mandrakesarecool2 shared these nice brick-built midi-figures of the Stark Family from the populer fantasy themed TV Series Game of Thrones. The figures are nicely shaped and characters are easily recognizable. I especially like the usage of a white chima figure head as the pommel of a sword.

These brick-built life-size statues of birds of prey were built and shared by flikr.com user Joe Perez a.k.a MortalSwordsman whose creations we blogged before like the sprinting black panther. The modeling on these birds are inreadibly realistic and the head sculpturing is amazing. According to the description these statues were built for Bright Bricks

Golden eagle is bigger than the pelegrine falcon as it should be according to the real sizes of the birds. The creator used many shades of brown and managed to make it look perfectly natural.

Excellent Natural Forms by Schfio

Today I am very happy since I just discovered a very talented builder's flickr page, named Schfio. I also feel a little shame because I am very late to enjoy his creations. He builds animals and other natural form mostly by using SNOT. Even though he is not using many sophisticated molds, he can construct perfect forms. His part selection's simplicity is in harmony wi.th the purity of his creations and his area of interest. I personally congratulate Schfio and gladly share some of his beautiful creations.
