We have finally returned to blogging from our very long break. Here is a masterpiece LEGO model from flickr.com user Stefan Johansson a.k.a. stej123.  The model is based on the ship seen in the comic book series called Adventures of Tintin created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi, who wrote under the pen name Hergé. Tintin had been published in more than 70 languages with sales of more than 200 million copies. The builder did a wonderful job building this amazing model. For more photos chech out the builders photo album for the model.

The shaping of the LEGO model is done very impressively. From distance one can say that looks like a plastic model. The color and part choices are done very well.

One of my favorite professional MOCer Arjan Oude Kotte (aka Konajra) shared a minifigure-sized vessel model for his Brickton Harbour. The Longliner Vessel is surrounded by many ropes, have well scaled captain cabin and a wide deck back of the ship. As a naval engineer I mostly liked small red fenders of the ship.

One of our guest of honor, jsnyder002 shared this beautiful historcial fantasy diorama named "Life in Nordheim" in his flickr.com photo-stream. The diorama is huge and full with details like a wooden boat under construction, nicely designed houses, a part of a stone wall with great texture and a mountain with a interior. I also like the addition of classic green dragons into the diorama very much.

LEGO fan and flickr.com user Rat Dude a.k.a. ratm0nk3y who is known for his impressive and huge capital space ships most of which are blogged in our "best capital ships" compilation page shared this great ancient Greek galley in his photo-stream. The design and texturing resembles the historical ships very much. Custom figures are looking very cool too. The ship also has a fully decorated interior with lots of figures in it.

Flickr.com user and LEGO fan Joshua Brooks a.k.a. JBIronWorks recently shared this naval military ship MOC in his photo-stream. I like the general shaping of the boot as well as the interior. The boots design looks like the modern coast guard boats but in gray-yellow color scheme instead of orange.  The vegetation on the background also looks interesting especially the tree in the middle looks great. 

LEGO Fan and flickr.com member Know Your Pieces used different technique to build a boat. Yet another Lego fishingboat shows us how to build a boat without hull pieces. Designer used maersk blue tiles to create a old-looking fishingboat. I mostly liked the outside of the captains room and the flag.

Hoang Dang built a beautiful fishing ship to pay tribute to the crew of the Vietnamese fishing boat which was sunk by Chinese patrol. This is a moc built with unorthodox techniques and good intentions. My first reaction was 'Best MOC ever!' when I just saw this. Very well done Hoang Dang, brick on!
