This Mecha Deserves A Name

Well, the title says it already, but this amazing mecha by Scatman Orange unfortunately does not have a name. While it is certain that this mecha deserves one, an interesting thing about this MOC is that it was built in 2017. One would have expected such intricate details in a relatively more recently built MOC considering the new parts of the last five years. Still, this goes to show that one does not need the newest or the fanciest pieces, just some creativity and well-structured composition.

LEGO fan and flickr.com user Kevin Ryhal has built something we have never seen before on the internet: A steampunk Gundam. This mecha has every shape detail a Gundam shoul have like the iconic head and leg design and still has the steam-punk design elements like gears, hoses and the appropriate brown-gray-gold color-scheme. I can make no critism since every part is just perfect on this thing.

Mech-master-builder and flickr.com user nobu_tary shared this impressive gundam mech in his photo-stream. The shaping of the body is amazing overall. It looks perfectly accurate to the actual models. The builder shared many different weapons for the gundam as well.

Andrealphus, A Gundam Mech by Caleb L.

Check out this amazing red Gundam mecha, namely AVCS-01-MT "Andrealphus" built by Sci-fi master builder and flickr.com member Caleb L. Recently we have also blogged his previous mech ASW-G-66 Gundam Kimaris which was also amazing as this one.  According to the description the creator is inspired by HG IBO Grimgerde. I like the idea of using minifigure arm element as the thumb of the hands. Techniques used to create is really impressive and the result is really cool.
